Intermittent Fasting and Weight Loss

I began my journey to weight loss, weighing 230 pounds and coming down to 190 pounds. This was in large part from restricting the amount of calories that I was taking in, starting with cutting back on all extra junk food. One thing that really helped, however, was the use of intermittent fasting, which I try to use at least five days a week if not more.

While there are many different types of intermittent fasting, the one I employed and continue to employ is a 16 hour fasting window. The idea is to stop eating at 8 PM every night and then start eating again at noon the next day. Studies show that the most benefit from fasting comes right at the 16 hour window, with less benefit the less that you do the intermittent fasting (for example, fasting for only 12 hours would be ok, but not as good as a 16 hour fast). This does a couple of things for the body that are beneficial and are very different from just cutting back calories - https://www.viagrafarmakeio.gr/agora-cialis.html. For instance, rather than just cutting back calories, the body will not decrease the metabolism rate throughout the day. Instead the metabolism will remain at the same level day after day, but you will just be eating in a shorter time period. If the goal is weight loss, then it will be a lot easier to cut back on the amount of calories that are eaten, because you only have an 8 hour window within which to eat the food that you would normally eat.

The only downfall to this type of fasting is that some people tend to get hungry when not eating for 16 hours. Another problem is that some people will think that they can eat as much as they want in the 8 hour window, and thus discipline is needed to keep from eating a lot of food in the time frame that is available.

In addition to the weight loss benefits from doing the intermittent fasting, there are numerous health benefits, including but not limited to detoxification, decreased expense in the amount of food that is needed every day, and a better digestive system since there is no need to digest food all the time like on a standard eating schedule. Some people find it very easy, but other people can find it quite difficult, especially if they are working. Thus another proposed intermittent fasting time schedule can be used. For example, if you need to eat breakfast every day before work, at 6 AM, then the 8 hour of eating could be moved to 8 AM till 4 PM, with the last meal at 4 PM. Some people may find benefit with this as well, since the last meal of the day would be early enough that it should not interfere with an early sleep schedule.

I was formerly 94 kgs, but after excessive exercise, intense dieting, and a lot of hard work, I have successfully cut myself down to 65 kgs. I did not do it all by myself, I got a ton of support from family and friends. For motivation I have a personal trainer and I follow several YouTube exercise channels obsessively. Starting out, I did not think that I would be able to achieve my goal. A lot of people I spoke with were very negative about the experience I was about to go through. I spoke with my doctor and he told me that in most cases people like me do not lose a ton of weight in such a short period of time. I lost substantial weight in a period of only 2 months. What I did was that i cut sugar out of my diet completely, and also cut out salt to a very large extent. After doing that i immediately began to see results and I was completely elated. It really changed my life and i could not be happier than I am now. I feel healthier, stronger, and more attractive. I am really proud of myself and i am just happy that i had such a successful experience.
